How to Read One Source Cabinet Codes: A Contractor’s Nomenclature Guide

One Source cabinet codes read left to right: cabinet type, then doors, then drawers, then the interior. For example, W-1D-2S is a wall cabinet with one door and two shelves, and B-1D-1TD-1ROT is a base cabinet with one door, one top drawer and one rollout. Learning a handful of abbreviations makes quotes and plan reviews much faster.

Every cabinet in the One Source 2026 catalog has a nomenclature code. Once you know the pattern, you can read a cabinet list the way you read a plan, and catch problems before an order goes to production.

How is a One Source cabinet code built?

Most codes follow the same order:

  1. Cabinet type (wall, base, tall, vanity and so on)
  2. Doors (1D, 2D)
  3. Drawers (TD for top drawer, BD for bottom drawer)
  4. Interior (S for shelves, ROT for rollouts, PART for partitions)

What about fillers, panels and trim?

Fillers, end panels, crown and toe kick have their own codes, such as BDF (base doweled filler), WEP and BEP (wall and base end panels), CF (flat crown) and TK (toe kick). We cover those in a separate guide to fillers, end panels and scribe.

Where do I find size ranges for each code?

The specification pages at the back of the 2026 catalog PDF list minimum and maximum width, height and depth for every code. Your One Source designer confirms final sizes before production. Every cabinet uses the same construction, listed on our specifications page.
